These documents set out the terms and conditions of sale suitable when selling services to consumers (non-business) customers. This pack includes the following documents:
- B2C T&Cs of Sale
- B2C T&Cs of Sale (doorstep selling)
- Agreement to Start Work During Cancellation Period (doorstep selling)
An optional Proposal document is also included in both of the T&Cs templates so that you can give your client written details of their order along with your standard terms and conditions. Guidance notes on how to customise and use the templates are also included.
These general T&Cs for B2C sale of services are suitable for businesses based in England, Scotland and Wales. They includes clauses covering the terms relevant to most small businesses including:
- specification of services
- customer's obligations
- supplier's obligations
- limitation of liability
- cancellation and refunds.
It's up to you to bring your terms and conditions to the attention of your customer in an appropriate and timely fashion in order that you terms become incorporated into the contract. If, as is common practice, you print your terms and conditions on the reverse of the proposal (or quote) you give your customer, then it's a good idea add a reference on the front page to your terms and conditions printed on the reverse.
