This Day Care Nursery Terms and Conditions documents set out the standard terms and conditions for running a Day Care Nursery in the UK.
The T&Cs template sets out the detailed arrangements for providing childcare services at a Day Care Nursery to a parent, taking into account the particular requirements of providing nursery childcare including:<.p>
- updates on child's progress
- provision of nursery place for siblings
- provision of nappies and baby milk
- insurance and staffing levels.
This forms part of the documentation you provide to prospective parents and becomes part of the legal contract between you and the parent.
An application form is also included so that, along with your standard terms and conditions, you can provide the parent with an application form for them to complete that is pre-populated with details of the services your Day Care Nursery will provide, the fees, payment terms etc.
You need to make sure that parents are aware of your terms and conditions before they enter into an agreement with you. If the terms and conditions are printed on the reverse of the application form, you should insert a reference on the front page to your terms and conditions on the reverse.
In England, day-care providers need to register with Ofsted. In Scotland, day-care providers are registered with the Care Commission.
Ofsted requires all day-care staff to have had a recent CRB check. In Wales the Wales Council for Voluntary Action (WCVA) Criminal Records Unit (CRU) submits CRB checks and in Scotland the enhanced disclosure check is carried out by Disclosure Scotland.
