This Rent Guarantee Agreement is a legal contract between a landlord and a guarantor. The guarantor legally promises (guarantees) that the tenant will pay the rent in accordance with the terms of the Tenancy Agreement. Under the terms of the Rent Guarantee, the guarantor agrees to reimburse the landlord for any expense or loss incurred as a result the tenant failing to pay the agreed rent.
This document is used in addition to a Tenancy Agreement and can either be presented and signed at the same time as the Tenancy Agreement or at a later date (sine tune after the tenancy has commenced). The guarantor should read and understand the terms of the Tenancy Agreement before signing a Rent Guarantee.
This agreement is suitable for use in England, Wales and Scotland and and allows you to provide details of:
- the guarantor
- the tenant or tenants
- the landlord
- address of the rented property
- date of the original tenancy agreement.
