Web Sales Agreement
If you are trading online with other businesses
or with consumers you should ensure that you have appropriate terms
and conditions of sale or, as we have described it, a Web Sales
Agreement. This should be published on your website, accessible
from any location and acceptance of the terms should be included
as part of the purchase process.
After an order is received you should immediately confirm by email the details,
description and full price for the goods or services (including any delivery charges and
payment details) together with information on the right to cancel if the buyer is a
consumer. The email should also include your business name and geographical address
to which the consumer may address any complaints, details of any guarantees or
after-sales services and, if a contract lasts for more than a year or is open-ended,
the contractual conditions for cancelling it.
We offer three versions of the agreement suitable
for the sale of goods, services or goods and services. All versions
of the agreement are suitable for use with websites hosted in England,
Wales or Scotland and include clauses covering the following:
- conditions of acceptance of order
- order process
- price and terms of payment
- rights of the seller
- age of consent
- warranty
- delivery (goods only)
- returns and refunds (goods only)
- sale of gift vouchers
- performance (services only)
- consumer's right to cancel under the Distance Selling Regulations
- limitation of liability.
All three versions are also included in our Ecommerce Package.
This price of each of these document is £23.50
including VAT if bought individually.
