SMP2 Form - Statutory Maternity Pay Record Sheet
This SMP2 form,
issued by HM Inland Revenue & Customs, is used by the employer to
record details of an employee's Statutory Maternity Pay (SMP). Employers
are required to keep statutory adoption pay records for at least 3 years
after the end of the tax year to which they relate.
The SMP2 form helps
employers to meet their legal obligations of recording: SMP payment
dates and amounts, the start of the payment period, any weeks within
the 26 week period when SMP wasn't paid and reasons why.
