Rent Guarantee

This Rent Guarantee is an agreement between a landlord and a guarantor whereby the guarantor guarantees to the landlord that the tenant will pay the rent in accordance with the terms of the Tenancy Agreement. Under the terms of the Rent Guarantee, the guarantor agrees to reimburse the landlord for any loss or expense incurred by him as a result of any failure by the tenant to pay the rent.

This document is supplemental to a Tenancy Agreement and can either be drawn up at the same time as the Tenancy Agreement or at a later date, after the tenancy period has commenced. The guarantor should understand the terms of the Tenancy Agreement before signing a Rent Guarantee.

The agreement is suitable for use in Scotland and allows you to provide details of:

• the landlord
• the tenant or tenants
• the guarantor
• address of the rented property
• date of the original tenancy agreement.
