Privacy Statement

If you collect data or information about the users of your website, you should publish an easily accessible statement on your website about the way you collect and use data about them.

You must also register with the Data Protection authorities. Your data collection and use of customer information should comply with your Privacy Statement, as well as your statement to the Information Commissioner.

You might also wish to publish a machine readable privacy policy (known as P3P) on your website, which will make it more accessible if you rely on cookies for website operations. You can find more information about P3P at the W3C.

If you take the above steps, and ensure continuing compliance, you will have done much to assure your customers of your commitment to their privacy.

This privacy statement is suitable for use with websites hosted in England, Wales or Scotland and covers the following:

  • what information you collect
  • how you handle the information
  • how you secure the information
  • use of cookies
  • credit card approval.
