Mutual Linking Agreement
The exchange of
links (sometimes known as reciprocal links) between websites is an opportunity
to offer each others services or content to their website users. It
can also help increase the ranking of the website on many of the internet
search engines.
This agreement assumes
the two websites will agree to have reciprocal links to each other.
If you need an agreement where the link is only in one direction, and
for which the linked site may pay a fee, please see our Single
Linking Agreement.
This mutual linking
agreement sets out the terms by which two websites choose to link to
each other and is suitable for use with websites
hosted in England, Wales or Scotland. The agreement includes the following:
- details of parties
- type and location of hyperlinks
- commencement
- protection of intellectual property rights
- data protection
- warranties
- indemnity
- limitations of liability
- term of agreement and termination procedure
- confidentiality.
