This Grievance Procedure & Policy document sets out the (3-step) statutory Grievance Procedure to be followed by employees and employers. From 1 October 2004 the Employment Act 2002 (Dispute Resolution) Regulations 2004 make it a requirement for all employers to issue a written document that sets out their Grievance Procedure. This document supports the ACAS statutory Code of Practice on discipline and grievance which came into effect on 6 April 2009.
