Table A

Prior to the Companies Act 2006 coming into force, model articles of association for a private company limited by shares were provided in Table A of the Companies (Tables A-F) Regulations 1985. Table A has now been superseded by the model articles provided in Schedule 1 of The Companies (Model Articles) Regulations 2008.

Companies incorporated before 1 October 2009 remain restricted by the model articles applicable when they incorporated unless they have made other arrangements (e.g. adopting the new model articles).
