Domain Name Sale Agreement

This is a package of documents that may be used when selling domain names. The process of selling a domain name requires some care: an agreed procedure and sequence of actions is advisable to ensure that the control of the domain name is correctly transferred and payment is received. This agreement sets out the terms of sale and transfer from the seller to the buyer.

The package includes the Domain Name Sale Agreement and two template letters for use by each of the parties involved to communicate their intentions to the internet name registration authorities.

The Domain Name Sale Agreement is suitable for use in England, Wales and Scotland and contains the following clauses:

• name transfer process

• resolution of process in event of technical issues or delays.
