Demonstration Licence
This Demonstration Licence allows a single
user to use demonstration or evaluation software either downloaded
from a website or where the software is made available on diskette,
CD or DVD (i.e. in a boxed or otherwise packaged fashion, also known
as "shrink-wrap"). There is no fee for the software.
Where the software is provided in "shrink-wrap"
form, it is recommended that the disk envelope be sealed with a
non-removable label with a warning such as "Warning. Before
breaking the seal on this disk envelope and loading the software
you must read and accept the terms of the licence accompanying it."
The Demonstration Licence should be within the packaging or documentation
where the user can easily access and read it.
This document is suitable for use in England,
Wales and Scotland and contains the following clauses:
- acceptance/rejection process
- licensor
- demonstration period
- ownership
- warranty
- disclaimer
- liability
- termination.
